Reading is the best way to learn about most things. With some crafts, I would say hands-on experience is equally if not more valuable, but you still need to know some theory before you can practice.

Guides are more of guidelines, not concrete rules.

There's a few that have created tulpas without knowing about tulpas and without guides, but in this case you should certainly be informed on such a life-changing decision.

Often, while narrating, I'd ask her questions, and she would cut me off and just answer.

She knew what the question was going to be, because we share a brain. I make it a point to intend for us to share this space, and not separate it in any artificial way.

I feel no presence, for what my experience is worth. It is just thought that isn't mine during communication.

If you can't have any patience with your Tulpa, then you shouldn't have one in the first place, at least personally that's what I think (edited)
